While I was sitting in our all popular dining hall on campus today I starting thinking about something. Started of thinking about something that once was. Started thinking about something I dearly miss with all my heart. That thing was the "Old Rocky's".
I now put finger quotes around the name because I have gotten to that part in my college career where the "Old Rocky's" is obsolete to the new students under me. As I most likely speak for a large majority of the current upperclassmen, we still dream of quesadillas, taco salads, and pepperoni rolls dancing in our tummies. I could also never forget the all famous Cyber Fresh and their buffalo chicken wraps.
Yes the current Rocky's has a fantastic selection of foods, but there is nothing that will top the old original. I still remember all the celebrity pictures on the walls and that little game room in the back room that had a massive TV. I can't say I spent much time back in there during my freshman year. Something I also remember, was that little level of tables right in the middle. A sense of superiority always overcame me while sitting up there with my friends.
Despite my hearts longing for a massive taco salad, I am blessed for the new Rocky's we have now...I still wish they would go back to giving us three pieces of chicken in our wraps...and my girls Linda and Peggy can come back.
